English version

This is the first English version of the blog! As Peter Fischer specifically asked for an English or a French version I can't let him down. :) I thought that a French version would take a lot more time than an English version. So here it is:
Now I have arrived in Ouagadougou and I like it a lot! It’s incredibly hot (around 38-40 degrees) but the people are really friendly and there’s no heat that a day at the pool couldn't take care of. I’m going to do my study about a river catchment area outside Bobo-Dioulasso, which is in the western part of the country. This week I have spent in Ouagadougou just to get used to the heat, orientate myself and to buy things that I need. I will be moving to Bobo (as it is called) on Wednesday so I have two more days with this high speed internet so will we see if I can update as much as now later on. The days start early here to later on have a long lunch break during the worst heat. I saw a thermometer at one of the gas stations showing 42 degrees so that’s not very much more to do than to find shadow and rest between 12 and 15.
Who knows maybe there will be a French version later on? Have a great week!

  1. Haha thanks for the english post! It is very helpful! I'm glad you arrived safely in Ouagadougou. I can't even imagine weather that hot right now. It feels like spring is never going to come to Canada. All the best in your studies there! I look forward to more English (and French of course!) posts. Cheers!
